The Unlikely Gold Rush The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow have thrown up their fair share of surprises, but none as shocking as Jenna Forrester's 200m backstroke gold on Saturday night.
Forrester, an Australian swimmer who had been entered into the event at the last minute after a clutch of withdrawals, stunned her competitors and herself to claim top spot.
Forrester's ascent to the podium was all the more remarkable given that she had only 15 minutes earlier celebrated bronze in the 400m freestyle alongside teammate Lani Pallister.
